Read what Sean Mason says about his new upcoming project RAINWATER
"The Rainwater project leveraged an integrated design process through Savings By Design, involving collaborative input from diverse stakeholders allowing us to push the boundaries of conventional design and provide a much better product. Complete with open spaces, the condo building is the first of its kind to include cross-laminated timber (CLT) + cold-formed steel structure. And we’re incorporating geothermal, parking stackers, optional rooftop patios, and Sapphire pre-fabricated clip-on balconies - a lighter, safer, greener solution."
"The project's commitment to sustainability is reflected in its design, utilizing exterior insulation (R-10), low SHGC fiberglass windows, high-performance ventilation, and Aerobarrier to achieve an aggressive 0.5 ACH for air tightness. We’ve also incorporated low-flow water fixtures, smart home technology, 4.5m concrete roads with 1.5m of permeable paving, stormwater infiltration chambers, EV chargers, modern xeriscaping, soak-away pits, and rain gardens. The use of CLT in building construction not only ensures exceptional structural stability but also boasts a smaller carbon footprint and makes a striking exposed interior feature. Rainwater also showcases work-from-home flex spaces with exceptional fiber optics that reduce the need for occupants to commute."
"Leading edge waste management strategies include recycling rebar cuttings, increasing slag in concrete and pre-fabricated off-site panelized optimum value engineering (OVE) at 24” o.c. and 19.2” o.c. as appropriate to reduce the amount of lumber used and waste generated."
"The innovation in this progressive, incredibly forward-thinking project is remarkable. This might just be the most technologically advanced townhome development in Ontario."
"Everything we do at SEAN. is with future generations in mind. We build homes that we would want our own children to live in, creating a lasting legacy of healthy, sustainable, and affordable communities for the future."
