What are the benefits to occupants and owners?

As an occupant

ENERGY STAR certified buildings are simply more comfortable and provide better indoor living. For example, there are fewer drafts due to better air sealing and high performance windows. Properly-sized HVAC systems ensure effective heating, cooling and ventilation in all parts of the living space.

Unit owners can enjoy higher resale values when they sell their units.

As a building owner

Being more energy-efficient can lead to financial savings now and in the future. ENERGY STAR certified buildings can be counted on to deliver what is claimed because they have been tested and verified by qualified professionals according to program standards.

Join the builders in Ontario that have received recognition from the ENERGY STAR® Multifamily High-Rise Pilot Program.

Date of construction Builder Building name Building address
2022 Deltera Inc. Delmanor Aurora 25 Butternut Ridge Trail, Aurora, ON.
2024 Molinaro Group Illumina Condominium 500 Brock Avenue, Burlington, ON.
2024 FRAM Building Group 55 Port 55 Port Street East, Mississauga, ON.

ENERGY STAR Certification could increase building value and generate more income when compared to similar buildings. It can help lower operating costs and increase rental value and occupancy rates.
