Welcoming Monica Curtis as EnerQuality President & CEO

EnerQuality has a long history supporting the industry during times of important change.

Today, demand for demonstrating superior building performance and a robust workforce supporting net zero and emerging technologies is creating opportunities to reimagine services and delivery.

EnerQuality is welcoming this industry inflection point with next-level leadership. Earlier today, I announced the appointment of Monica Curtis as President & CEO of EnerQuality. Ms. Curtis, an industry recognized energy efficiency champion, assumes responsibilities effective immediately.

Periods of rapid change may create unprecedented risk, but they also present unprecedented opportunities.

Monica brings over 25 years of Canadian and U.S. market experience working with governments, utilities, businesses, and organizations improve energy use.

Most recently, Ms. Curtis served as CEO of Energy Efficiency Alberta, where the agency achieved $952M in economic growth for the province in just over three years.

Previously, Monica oversaw the delivery of residential building science training, contractor-delivered energy efficiency programs and efficiency financing for electric and natural gas utilities, and governments across the U.S.

Recognized as one of Canada’s Clean 50 in 2020, Monica participates in advisory board and expert panels, including the Climate Innovation Fund (a Low Carbon Cities Canada Initiative), Efficiency Canada to Red Deer College’s Alternative Energy Lab.
