You want to build to a higher standard, and we are here to help.
Created by the OHBA to be the EFFICIENCY premier organization for third party home certifications, ENERQUALITY is the top choice for builders seeking guidance on building green.
Certification ensures builders follow standardized practices, resulting in higher quality work and fewer issues or callbacks. With energy efficiency becoming increasingly crucial, builders who adopt Energy Star® for New Homes (ESNH), Net Zero (NZ), or R-2000 standards are better prepared for future regulatory changes and market demands.
Certification quantifies energy and carbon emission reductions, providing tangible proof for buyers, bankers, and insurance providers of your commitment to reducing environmental impacts and operating costs.
Certification involves continuous education and training, keeping builders updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
Certification helps builders stand out in a crowded market by demonstrating their commitment to quality and excellence.
Builders gain access to marketing materials to promote their high-performance homes effectively.
Homebuyers are seeking more than just an ideal location and a beautiful home.
They recognize the value of certification.
Certified homes, built to Energy Star® for New Homes (ESNH), Net Zero (NZ), or R-2000 standards, are designed for energy efficiency, resulting in lower utility bills.
Certified homes ensure superior comfort with advanced technology and construction practices that maintain a consistent indoor temperature and reduce drafts.
Enjoy a healthier living environment with better indoor air quality, as certified homes have better ventilation and air filtration standards.
Homes built to these standards are better prepared for future regulatory changes and market demands, ensuring your investment remains valuable.
Certification quantifies energy and carbon emission reductions, providing proof of your home’s reduced environmental impact and lower operating costs.
ENERQUALITY’s 3rd party certification is proof to your homebuyers that your homes meet these higher standards, and help you stand out from the competition.
To certify your homes under the Net Zero or ENERGY STAR® label, your team needs to complete training with a licensed service organization, and that’s where ENERQUALITY comes in. Not only are we able to certify your homes but we will also train your team to ensure that you qualify for the certification program of your choice.
Steps to Certification
While some of the steps to certification vary by program (ENERGY STAR® vs. Net Zero), the main steps include:
Register with ENERQUALITY via our enrollment management tool.
Engage an Energy Advisor to run applicable tests, record results, and to submit label requests to ENERQUALITY.
Upon passing final inspection, an Energy Advisor will issue your label. Affix the label onto the electrical panel of each certified home and deliver the homeowner package to the homeowner.
